🌱 Archivium Update April 2026
Collaborative Editing, Family Trees & Editor Improvements
Long time no update! The past three months have been quite busy between moving to a new and more capable server, implementing several long-overdue editor improvements, and our biggest creator feature yet:
🤝 Real-Time Collaborative Editing
You can now edit content together in real time.
Powered by Yjs, the editor now supports live collaboration, meaning multiple users can work on the same item simultaneously. Changes appear instantly, making it much easier to co-write, edit, and build worlds together without stepping on each other’s toes. You can even see your fellow editors' cursors live in the Tiptap editor.
🌳 Family Tree Renderer
You can now visualize relationships with a family tree view.
This provides a clearer way to explore lineage and connections between characters or entities, making complex relationships much easier to understand at a glance.
📝 Editor & Writing Improvements
The editing experience continues to improve:
Added modals for inserting links, images, and videos, making content creation more intuitive
Fixed issues with copy-pasting links
Empty trailing paragraphs are now hidden automatically
Improved tag input with a more robust and user-friendly interface
Improved searchable selects (better closing behavior and Enter key support)
Reduced issues with collaborative editor awareness desync
💬 Comments, Navigation & UI
A number of interface improvements:
Comments now appear directly below items, instead of in a separate tab
Fixed incorrect profile pictures showing in comments
Tab navigation no longer clutters browser history
Added an option to display item and universe lists in a table layout
You can now see recent edits across all items, not just your own
🔧 Fixes & Cleanup
Fixed cross-universe links in the “show links” section
Fixed notification toggles not updating properly
Removed a broken legacy markdown demo page
That’s all for now. As always, if you run into any issues or have suggestions, feel free to open a ticket on GitHub or contact us at [email protected].
