π Archivium Update October 2026
Vaults, Mentions, Stats & More
Itβs been a little while since our last update! We missed a newsletter over the summer, so this update covers some of the features and improvements that have arrived since our April release, along with our latest changes.
ποΈ Introducing Vaults
Universes can now be organized into Vaults, giving you more control over how your content is grouped and who can access it.
Items can belong to a specific vault, or remain directly within the universe. Vaults have their own permissions, allowing you to give different groups of users access to different parts of a universe.
Universe owners retain access to all vaults automatically, so you can continue managing your entire universe from one place.
π Mentions in the Editor
Adding links between items is now much easier with @mentions.
Type @ while editing an item to bring up a list of items from your universe. As you continue typing, the list is narrowed down using a fuzzy search across both item titles and tags.
Select an item β or press Enter or Tab β and Archivium will automatically create a link to it.
π New Universe Stats
Universes now have a Stats page with an overview of how your world is connected and how much you've written.
The page includes:
A graph showing links between items
Counts of links and dead links
Word counts
An overview of which universe tabs are currently enabled
This gives you a quick way to explore the structure of your universe and keep an eye on its overall development.
βοΈ More Improvements to the Editor
We've continued improving the editor since the introduction of Tiptap and collaborative editing:
Added a live table-of-contents preview
Improved the reliability of shared-editor awareness
Removed the old Markdown editor
Fixed several issues with the editor and links
Improved performance when loading images and application resources
π± A Better Mobile Experience
Archivium has received a number of mobile-focused improvements.
The navigation now includes a simple hamburger menu with a slide-out navigation panel, text spacing and heading sizes have been refined, and several layout issues on narrow screens have been fixed.
We've also made some behind-the-scenes improvements to make frequently used sessions more reliable.
π Fixes & Other Improvements
We've also fixed a number of smaller issues across the site:
Fixed a crash in the Lineage tab
Fixed issues with uploading map backgrounds
Fixed several problems with links and navigation
Improved the handling of mobile layouts
Fixed various editor and application issues discovered since the last release
Thatβs all for now. As always, if you run into any issues or have suggestions, feel free to open a ticket on GitHub, contact us at [email protected], or leave a comment right here on Archivium in the comments section below.
