📢 Archivium Update September 2025

A New Editor Experience, Better Navigation & More

This month's release focuses on a major upgrade to how you write and edit content in Archivium, along with a collection of smaller but useful fixes and improvements.

✍️ A Brand-New Editor

The old markdown editor has been replaced with a modern WYSIWYG editor powered by React and Tiptap.

This means you can now format text directly as you write, without needing to remember markdown syntax. Bold, italic, lists, links, and more can all be applied visually — while still giving you the flexibility to structure your writing cleanly. This new editor will also enable us to add new features more easily in the future.

🏷️ Filters, Badges & Permissions

A few more improvements across the site:

• Added an author filter to the Universe Item page for easier browsing

• You can now change your email address directly in settings

• Introduced Beta Tester and Site Admin badges to better highlight contributor roles

🔧 Other Fixes & Improvements

• Fixed various link issues across the site

• Resolved layout quirks and hotfixes from the last release

• Updating an item now updates its universe's "Last updated" value like you'd expect
