Main Text
Archivium helps you keep track of what's happening in your universes through your home page and notifications.
The Home Page
Once you're logged in, clicking Home shows your personal dashboard:
My Universes — universes you have Write access to or above, with when each was last updated.
Universes I Follow — universes you've followed. Click the ✕ next to a universe to unfollow it.
Recent Updates by Others — the latest items changed by other people in the universes you follow. Brand-new items are tagged (New).
May Need Review — items you can edit that haven't been updated in a while, oldest first. It's easy for older items to fall out of date as your world grows; this list nudges you to revisit them. Click Dismiss once you've reviewed an item to move it to the back of the queue.
Notifications
You'll receive notifications for:
Type | When you're notified |
|---|---|
Contact Requests | Someone sends you a contact request, or accepts or rejects yours. |
Universe Updates | You're invited to a universe, or (as an owner) someone requests access to your universe. |
Comments & Discussion | Someone comments in a thread you're subscribed to, on an item you're subscribed to, or on a chapter of your story. |
Archivium Updates | Archivium news and new feature announcements. |
You're never notified about your own comments.
Subscribing to Items and Threads
Click the bell icon (Subscribe) on an item or discussion thread to be notified about new comments on it. You're automatically subscribed to items you create.
The Notifications Page
Click Notifications in your user menu to see your notifications. Click a notification to go to whatever it's about. You can mark notifications as read or unread individually, or click Mark all as read.
Notification Settings
The Notifications tab of the Settings page lets you choose how you're notified about each type of notification:
Web — shown on the Notifications page and in the notification badge. This is on by default. If you turn it off for a type, those notifications still arrive but are already marked as read.
Push — sent as a browser notification, even when Archivium isn't open.
Email — sent to your email address.
To use Push or Email, first turn on the Push notifications or Email notifications switch at the top of the tab. Push notifications are enabled per browser, so you'll need to switch them on separately on each device. Then tick the boxes in the Filter Notifications table for the types you want, and click Update Preferences.
You can also turn push notifications on or off for the current browser from the bell toggle on the Notifications page.
