Main Text
Click Search in the navigation bar to search everything you have access to at once. Results are grouped into:
Universes whose title matches your search.
Items whose title, shortname, tags or text match your search. A snippet shows where the match was found, and tags that exactly match your search are shown in bold.
Notes — your own notes whose title, text or tags match your search.
You'll only ever see results from universes, items and vaults you have permission to view.
To search within a single universe instead, use the Search... box on the universe's item list — see Browsing Items.
Semantic Search
Normal search finds items containing the exact words you typed. Semantic search goes further and finds items that match the meaning of your search, even if they use different words — for example, searching for "royal family" could find an item about "the king's heirs".
Semantic search is a premium feature. To turn it on, switch on Semantic search enabled on the universe's Edit page. Your items will then be indexed in the background.
Once enabled:
Search results include extra items from that universe that match by meaning, labelled (semantic match).
Item pages show a Related Items section listing similar items from the same universe.
Turning semantic search off deletes the universe's search index. The Admin Menu's Storage tab shows how much of your universe has been indexed.
